1. Introduction
1.1. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the process for applying for and maintaining accreditation under the ICEF Agency Status (“IAS”).
1.2. By submitting an application for IAS accreditation, applicants agree to comply with these Terms.
1.3. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your personal data.
2. Application and Fees
2.1. The annual fee for IAS accreditation is EUR 325 per annum, which should be paid as a single annual sum.
2.2. Customers can elect to pay a monthly subscription in place of an annual fee. Should a customer wish to pay monthly the fee is EUR 30 per month, or EUR 360 annually.
2.3. There is a non-refundable application fee of EUR 49, which is paid upon submission of your IAS application. The application will not proceed until the application has been paid.
2.3. Upon successful application being achieved, the initial application fee of EUR 49 will be deducted from the first year’s annual fee. If the fee is paid as a single amount, the first year fee will be EUR 276, and will revert to EUR 325 in subsequent years. If the fee is paid monthly, the monthly subscription in year 1 will be EUR 25.91 per month, rising to EUR 30 per month following the first annual renewal
2.4. Prices are subject to change but are correct at the time of print.
2.5. Prices will not change mid term and will only occur upon renewal.
3. Payment Methods
3.1. Payments for application and ongoing accreditation fees can be made via credit card or other digital payment methods offered during the checkout process.
3.2. Subscription fees can only be made via credit card
3.3. All fees are in euros (€ – EUR) only.
4. Application Process
4.1. Upon submission of your IAS application, and payment of the application fee, your application will be reviewed and assessed by a member of the ICEF Agency Relations Management (ARM) team. The ARM team will assess your application based on the eligibility criteria outlined on the ICEF website.
4.2. ICEF reserves the right to request additional information during the application process to validate claims and ensure compliance with the IAS standards.
4.3. Failure to comply with providing the information required to assess your application and / or any additional information may result in your application being denied
5. Eligibility Criteria
5.1 To be eligible for ICEF IAS accreditation, agencies must demonstrate a commitment to high standards of professional practice in international student recruitment. This includes providing evidence of legal business registration, operational history, and a track record of ethical student placements. Agencies must also comply with ICEF’s Code of Conduct, maintain transparent business operations, and engage in ongoing professional development. Additionally, agencies are required to undergo a rigorous assessment process, including reference checks, financial stability verification, and periodic reviews to ensure continued compliance with IAS standards.
6. Accreditation Maintenance
6.1. ICEF reserves the right to suspend or revoke accreditation in the event of non-payment, failure to meet IAS standards, or breach of these Terms.
6.2. Accreditation may be reinstated, assuming all issues are resolved and outstanding payments are made, subject to ICEF’s final approval.
7. Badge use
7.1. The badge may only be used by ICEF Agency Status accredited agencies who have received formal notice of entitlement from ICEF, along with the original artwork and guidelines for use. It is not permitted to make use of any badges received or acquired from any other source.
7.2. The badge, including the unique identifying agency number, may not be altered in any way.
7.3. In order to be included in the IAS Directory, you must clearly display your IAS Proof of Accreditation on your company website, on the main page or on the About Us page.
7.4. The badge may only be used against a solid background and should not be set below 150px for digital or 10 cm for print.
7.5. All design applications should provide for a clear space around the logo.
7.6. You may include your badge in your digital and printed marketing materials including: email signature, company website and social media profiles.
7.7. ICEF reserves the right to revoke ICEF Agency Status from agencies in certain circumstances, including but not limited to, forwarding the badge onto other companies and other misuse of the assets.
7.8. ICEF reserves the right to revoke the ICEF Agency Status from agencies when their digital presence in their social media and/or website does not reflect our criteria including, but not limited to, a clear indication of study abroad services.
8. Refunds
8.1. The initial application fee (EUR 49) is non-refundable.
8.2. Refunds for ongoing accreditation fees will not be permitted, unless explicitly agreed by ICEF in extenuating circumstances.
8.3. Should a refund be agreed, it will be subject to a EUR 50 administration fee.
9. Termination
9.1. ICEF may terminate an agency’s accreditation at its discretion, including but not limited to cases of non-payment, fraudulent activities, or violation of ICEF’s terms or ethical standards.
9.2. Accredited agencies may voluntarily withdraw their accreditation at any time by notifying ICEF in writing. No refunds will be issued for fees already paid.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1. ICEF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the accreditation process, the accreditation itself, or its termination.
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Germany and resolved exclusively by the courts of Bonn, Germany.
12. Governing Law
12.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany.
12.2. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bonn, Germany.
13. Amendments
13.1. ICEF reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated via the ICEF website and will take effect immediately.
