International student recruitment in Canada: The shift from quantity to quality

Over the past year, a series of announcements from the federal government have effectively reset the context for international student recruitment in Canada. Among other changes, those new rules have quickly ushered in a cap on foreign student enrolment, limited post-study work rights for some students, introduced new restrictions on work visas for accompanying family members, and more.

At the same time, Canada remains a top global study destination and international students are being welcomed by institutions and schools from coast to coast.
