Regulating education agents in Canada: Where do we go from here?

In most major international education destination countries, the practices and ethics of education agencies are coming under scrutiny, prompting calls for regulation and accreditation. However, this is not a new issue, and has existed since international student mobility at scale became a phenomenon.

It is a challenging problem, with multiple stakeholders, and no clear line of responsibility. As a result, the question remains as to who has the reach and the ability to both monitor and, where necessary, police the issue effectively, while minimising the burden on both agents and the sector at large.

This webinar explores the challenges of accreditation. It considers the responses already underway, whether these could prove contradictory, and how national efforts need to be coordinated for the benefit of the whole global sector. For the panel, we are joined by seasoned practitioners representing a range of voices in the debate. This webinar is highly topical and will be of value to all stakeholders in international education.
