Why are student numbers down this year?

Despite a post-pandemic surge over the last two years, a number of leading study destinations are now reporting a decline in student numbers. In the UK, Canada, and Australia, application volumes are down, as are visa issuances, and early indicators suggest that many institutions and schools are already seeing a drop in commencements across early 2024 intakes. It also appears that providers in these study destinations can expect softer enrolments in the 2024/25 academic year.

In this special webinar, we look at the factors behind the falling numbers, consider the alternative destinations attracting students, and ask what can be done now to stabilise enrolments for the medium and long-term.
